Pakistan and England will come face to face for a series of five ODIs and one T20 International ahead of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.

Pakistan has already announced the squad for the series, which includes the Pakistan’s squad for World Cup 2019 and two substitute players.

The jinx is finally broken: Pakistan beat England by 14 runs

After a very bad start in ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, Pakistan has finally managed to break the jinx. Green shirts have beaten England by 14 runs in an intense match of the Cricket World Cup played at Nottingham.

Batting first, Pakistan put a target of 349 in 50 overs, thanks to fifties by Babar Azam (63), Mohammad Hafeez (84) and Sarfaraz Ahmed (55).

Fakhar Zaman (36) and Imam-ul-Haq (44) made a steady opening while Hasan Ali and Shadab Khan, both 10 runs each, made some crucial addition to the total in the end.

Chris Woakes and Moeen Ali took 3 wickets each, Mark Wood took 2.

In reply, England were 14 runs short with one wicket in hand, despite brilliant centuries from Joy Root (107 off 104) and Jos Buttler (103 off 76).

Wahab Riaz took 3 wickets for Pakistan while Shadab Khan and Mohammad Amir took 2 wickets each.

Mohammad Hafeez was delcared man of the match.

Pakistan is currently behind Bangladesh in Group B points table.

Pakistan’s batting order was completely destroyed by Jason Holder (3 wickets), Oshane Thomas (4 wickets) and Andre Russell (2 wickets) in the 2nd match of ICC Cricket World Cup being played at Nottingham.

Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman scored 22 each while Mohammad Hafeez (16) and Wahab Riaz (18) put a little struggle to keep the sinking boat afloat for a while.

Pakistan Squad for ICC Cricket World Cup 2019

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a 15-member squad for upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.

Sarfaraz Ahmad will lead the Pakistani side that has recently been whitewashed in the hands of Aussies.

Prior to the Cricket World Cup 2019, Pakistan will face England in one T20i and five One Day International matches.

Asif Ali and Mohammad Amir have been named replacements but both will be available for Pakistan’s tour to England.

PCB chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq announced Pakistan’s squad for ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 at a press conference held at Gaddafi Stadium.

The former skipper said that the side had been picked according to the conditions and included reliable batters, trusted wicket-taking bowlers and dynamic fielders.
